❤️ Soft, light, and jiggly — we tried making silky pudding steamed eggs at home.
Nothing fancy, just something we threw together with what we had.
It may not look as perfect as restaurant dishes, but that’s exactly why we love it. 😉

🍽️ Intro
You might think, “Steamed eggs? That’s nothing special.”
Honestly, we thought the same.
But today, we decided to put a little extra effort into making them soft and silky, almost like a pudding. 🥚✨
It only takes four simple ingredients:
eggs, salt, tuna extract, and water.
And with just a little care, you can make something so much smoother and softer than you’d expect.
At first, we got a bit confused about the water ratio,
but after a few tries, we learned how to make both the super soft version and the slightly firmer one.
Today, we’re going for the soft and silky side.
This isn’t a big, complicated recipe.
It’s just our quick home version — and we’re sharing it in case it helps someone else, too. 🌟
📜 Ingredients (Serves 2–3)
✅ Eggs – 5 large
✅ Salt – ½ tbsp
✅ Tuna Extract – ½ tbsp
✅ Water – 500 ml
📌 That’s it. Really.
👨🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Crack 5 eggs into a large mixing bowl.
Add ½ tbsp of salt and ½ tbsp of tuna extract.
Whisk gently until everything is nicely combined.
2️⃣ Pour in 500 ml of water and mix lightly.
Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove chalazae and bubbles.
(This is the secret to that silky, smooth finish!)
3️⃣ Bring water to a boil in your steamer.
Pour the strained egg mixture into a heatproof dish, cover, and steam over medium heat (highlight level 6) for 10 minutes.
Turn off the heat and leave it covered for another 10 minutes to let it finish cooking gently.
📌 This quiet resting time is where the magic happens!
💡 Tips
🔹 Always strain the egg mixture.
It makes the surface so much smoother and glossier.
🔹 Stick to 500 ml of water for that soft, pudding-like texture.
If you want a slightly firmer bite, reduce it to around 400–450 ml.
🔹 Keep the heat gentle.
High heat can cause ugly bubbles and cracks.
🔹 Don’t skip the resting time after steaming.
It finishes the texture and keeps everything super tender.
